Justin Bieber Warns 'Fame Can Tear You Apart'

'When people start acting like they're famous, that's when they start losing it.' Says One Of The Biggest Popstar Of The World.

It's not easy being Justin Bieber! The 18-year-old pop star, who's become one of the biggest names in Hollywood since he was discovered on YouTube in 2007, talks candidly about the downside of his phenomenal fame in a new interview with Vibe magazine. "What does that really mean, 'to be famous'?" Bieber mused. "In general, fame can tear you apart, so you can never really feel like you're famous. When people start acting like they're famous, that's when they start losing it." For the record, Bieber and his famous girlfriend Selena Gomez are often photographed doing pretty normal things, like eating at IHOP, catching a movie, or visiting his family in Canada, although they've also been seen taking a helicopter ride and renting out the Staples Center in L.A. for a private screening of "Titanic."

Since Bieber makes headlines frequently, the "As Long As You Love Me" singer admits that celebrity has made him more reluctant to share details about himself. "I don't like giving too much personal information about where I live and the cars I drive. ... There are a lot of people in this world that aren't good people, and all they need to do is a little research and then they can [exploit you]," he says. "People hiding in garbage cans overnight to catch [pictures] of me; crazy things happen. You can't give out too much personal information."
