Anonymous Allegedly Threatens Sony, Justin Bieber, Others Over SOPA Support

An Anonymous-branded message threatening Sony and a handful of celebrities has surfaced and calls for attacks on the target parties as retaliation for their collective support of SOPA. The message announces that Anonymous will “destroy [Sony's] network,” and has “declared that [their] fury will be brought upon…Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, and Taylor Swift,” for their grievous crime. Now, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Releasing a video announcing an Anonymous attack doesn’t necessarily make said Anonymous attack real, but this one seems to be gaining some traction.
As with any “Anonymous Announcement,” it’s imperative to consider the source. The YouTube account that released the video, TheAnonMessage, probably isn’t what you would call a premier source of Anonymous news, but the video does have about 60,000 views at the time of this writing. TheAnonMessage has also uploaded plenty of other videos announcing other Anonymous operations, but I can’t say that I’ve heard of many of them, and I’m willing to bet that at least 95% of them never actually took off. They date back to July of this year, and the first 2 laughably include the prefix “Official” in the title. It’s also worth noting that the YouTube channel’s associated Twitter account boasts a paltry 225 followers, so take the decree as you will.
All that being said, do a quick Google search for “Anonymous Sony SOPA” and see how many hits you get. Quite a few. Just like the big “Anonymous is attacking Facebook” thing a few months ago, the media has gotten the ball rolling on this one, despite the fact that it’s nigh impossible for anything to actually be officially related to Anonymous until after the fact, and it’s a grey area even then. In any event, if something does happen, it’s going to be bad news for Sony, who’ve already had to deal with this sort of mess plenty of times before. Then again, maybe they’re ready for it this time. As for the random assortment of celebrities, well, when isn’tthere someone trying to take them down or steal their personal data, right?
Here’s the script from the video:
Hello, SONY.
We are Anonymous.
It has come to the attention of the Anonymous activist community that you have chosen to stand by the Stop Online Piracy Act. This act will halt online businesses and restrict access to many sites for many users. Supporting SOPA is like trying to throw an entire company from off a bridge. Your support to the act is a signed death warrant to SONY Company and Associates. Therefore, yet again, we have decided to destroy your network. We will dismantle your phantom from the internet. Prepare to be extinguished. Justice will be swift, and it will be for the people, whether some like it or not. Sony, you have been warned.
To those doubting our powers. We’ve infiltrated the servers of Bank of America, The United States Department of Defense, The United Nations, and Lockheed Martin. In one day.
For their approval to SOPA, we have also declared that our fury be brought upon the following persons. Justin Bieber. Lady Gaga. Kim Kardashian. and Taylor Swift.
Operation Blackout, engaged.
Operation Mayhem, engaged.
Operation LulzXmas, engaged.
We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
Supporters of SOPA, you should’ve expected us.
And a link to the actual video if you really, really need to hear the text above read by a compute

Justin Bieber on TV with Ryan Seacrest for New Year's Eve

There is a thinking that says if you got a good thing going then, well, then you should keep it going. Milk it while you can. That appears to be what's going on with Justin Bieber and TV shows this holiday season.
Justin and his management have had him on a plethora of television specials over the holidays and he still has one of the biggest to come. On New Year's Eve the kid from Stratford, Canada, will be guesting - both singing and talking - on 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest'. That tidbit of news was announced by Justin - on Seacrest's radio show - back in October and his biggest fans have been looking forward to it since.
Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga guest on Dick Clark
The highly rated show has live segments in New York, with over one million in Times Square, and in L.A.. Other guests will include Lady Gaga and Pitbull. Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga will be on the New York segment of the evening with Seacrest while Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas hosts the L.A. segments. Seacrest said Beyonce will make an appearance at some point during the show.
Clark has Type 2 diabetes and had a severe stroke which caused him to miss the 2004 show. Seacrest began co-hosting in 2005 and the host of 'American Idol' now does the talking to guests and announcing of acts. It will be the first time Justin has been on it but the he will not appear on-air with the recently-turned 82-year-old Clark.

Justin Bieber: 2011 Christmas Specials
Justin appeared on Michael Buble's NBC holiday special, 'A Michael Buble Christmas' to start his rounds of shows, singing 'Mistletoe' from his Christmas album 'Under the Mistletoe;. There was a show on TLC from the U.K. called "This is Justin Bieber' that had shots of him singing and of him backstage,. He guested on ''The 13th Annual A Home for the Holidays with Martina McBride' on CBS and in Toronto hosted his own intimate evening of performing Christmas songs called 'Justin Bieber: Home for the Holidays.'
This year marks the 40th 'New Year's Rockin' Eve' show.

Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga top list of “Celebs Gone Good”

It seems Lady Gaga isn’t quite the little monster she makes herself out to be as the pop singer held her spot at the top of the annual “Celebs Gone Good” list, released by dosomething.org last week.
One celebrity who did shake up the standings, though, was Stratford’s own Justin Bieber, climbing from the 10th spot last year to second place.
The 17-year-old’s jump comes after founding the Believe Charity Drive, which focuses on education, music and the well-being of children. Part of the profits from his holiday album Under the Mistletoe, which has sold more than two million copies, also went directly to the drive. Most recently, Justin invested in Sojo Studios, which creates Facebook games that earn money for charities.
But Justin couldn’t top Gaga, who advocated for gay rights and AIDS/ HIV awareness in Africa throughout the year. She also recently announced the 2012 launch of the Born This Way Foundation, which will focus on youth empowerment through anti-bullying legislation advocacy, mentoring and career development.
In the third spot was George Clooney for his advocacy for human rights in Sudan, which included an editorial he wrote in the Washington Post. Other celebs who remained on the list include Leonardo Di Caprio and Ellen DeGeneres.
At the bottom of the list was Taylor Swift, who dropped from the third to the 20th spot.

Justin Bieber Hits 2 Billion - yes, 2 BILLION! - YouTube Views

Justin Bieber is not even a legal adult yet, but he has managed to dominate the world of the popular social media site of YouTube. The young singer’s music videos are very popular on the site and continue to rake in thousands of hits everyday. He has just surpassed the 2 billion mark with the number of views to his various videos. The 17-year-old star got his start on YouTube and has managed to rake in the hits. His closest competitor is the ultra-famous, Lady Gaga who is about 200,000 views shy of Justin’s latest record.
The Biebs has his very own channel on the social site, like most celebrities. More than one million people subscribe to his channel for regular updates. Justin is the first person in the world to reach such a staggering figure. Lady Gaga may have beaten him to the 1 billion mark, but Justin has quickly shown the world he is not going to fade away as he matures. He is only getting stronger.

His social-networking  presence is a force to be reckoned with. He has close to 14 million followers on Twitter, which is a large number, but not nearly as large as his social-networking  nemesis, Lady Gaga who has more than 15 million. Justin’s Facebook page has another 37 million fans. Again, a massive following, but he is still eclipsed by several other music stars.
Justin owes his new YouTube record to the recent release of his “Mistletoe” video, which has already amassed 27 million views since its debut over a week ago. Justin owes his success to YouTube. He was “discovered” after his mother uploaded the then 12-year-old Justin singing various songs. His first song, “Baby” still holds the record for the most number of views with 650 million. In the last month alone, Justin’s channel has had more than 94 million views! Beliebers cannot get enough of the Canadian cutie.
Justin’s highly anticipated Christmas album drops tomorrow, November 1st. His YouTube numbers will certainly skyrocket as fans clamor to see their favorite baby faced singer getting into the holiday spirit.
Bieber Hit Baby Leads in Youtube Views
The song with the most Youtube views is Bieber's hit Baby, featuring Ludacris; that song now has more than 650,000,000 views on its own. Lady Gaga's biggest performer is Bad Romance with 425,000,000 views. Other high performing Bieber songs include his One Time and Never Say Never, the version featuring Jaden Smith is the biggest performer. His recently released song 'Mistletoe' got nearly 20,000,000 views in its first week online.
Rihanna is 3rd in Youtube views (1.7 billion), Eminem 4th (1.5) and Shakira 5th (1,2 billion).

Exciting Times for Justin Bieber

In all comes about in the midst of lots of stuff happening for the singer, he's got his Christmas album, 'Under the Mistletoe' out November 1, in a few days he's off to a ceremony in London, England, where he'll switch on Christmas lights and play a few songs and he's working on a studio album called 'Believe,' a follow-up to first full-length studio offering, 'My World 2,0.'
It's not likely he's gonna miss the occasion of 2 billion YouTube views but did not immediately write on his twitter page on it. He's the leader in YouTube views with Lady Gaga, who has 1,883,101,471 views, in second place. Gaga beat Bieber to 1 billion views by a couple of weeks at this time last year but has since fallen behind. So in a year Bieber managed another billion views.
