Justin Bieber’s ‘Batmobile’ spotted in Kitchener

Teenagers are usually the ones explaining why they got a ticket in a borrowed car, but Justin Bieber’s dad turned the tables Friday when he was stopped in the singer’s “Batmobile.”
Jeremy Bieber was driving his son’s customized CTS-V Cadillac coupe, which is matte black and comes complete with “Batman” emblazoned across its trunk and the superhero’s symbol on its grill, when he drew some unexpected attention Friday afternoon.
Witnesses watched a Waterloo Regional Police officer pull over Bieber senior, but police could not confirm whether a member of the Stratford family was stopped on Manitou Drive in the famously tricked-out vehicle.
Tom Kukla works at nearby Gemini Motors, and he said he would recognize the Biebermobile from a mile away.
“It was unmistakably his vehicle,” said Kukla. “I recognized it right away.”

He had seen Bieber’s pimped-out ride on the reality show West Coast Customs, which documents the custom car shop’s over-the-top work. The cable-network reality show aired an episode in November 2011 about the Biebermobile, which features a custom-designed “JB” symbol in place of the standard CTS-V and the star’s signature purple stitched into its black leather and suede interior.
Kukla ran to snap a picture, but stopped short near the driver’s side when he realized it wasn’t the Biebs behind the wheel.
“I went up to the window to talk to him,” said Kukla. “He said, ‘Oh, I’m his dad. I’m Jeremy, nice to meet you.’ ”
Kukla said he was disappointed not to meet the teenaged crooner, but added the car itself was an awesome sight.
The younger Bieber is said to be in Mexico with girlfriend Selena Gomez for a friend’s wedding.
This isn’t the first time the “Batmobile” has seen flashing lights.
The 17-year-old singer has been pulled over twice in California since he got the Biebermobile last fall, once for cutting off a California Highway Patrol officer and once for an improper left turn. He drove away with a smile and a warning both times.
His dad might not have been so lucky. Kukla saw the officer hand Bieber what looked like a ticket — although it could’ve been an autograph request for his pop-star progeny.
