Justin Bieber Under The Mistletoe Set Record Of 2 Million Sales

Justin Bieber Under The Mistletoe Set Record Of 2 Million Sales

Teen superstar Justin Bieber is making history once again with his latest record. His holiday album Under The Mistletoe has sold over two million copies in the last two months! Here is what Justin tweeted to his Beliebers:

Over 2 MILLION ALBUMS sold of #UnderTheMistletoe – thank u!
I think it’s just wonderful that he is bringing back holiday music to the masses. And while many popstars release a Christmas or holiday album at some point in their music career, not many of them can make it fun and fresh. With a mix of traditional songs(Little Drummer Boy, Silent Night, The Christmas Song, and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town), new holiday songs(Mistletoe, Only Thing I Ever Get For Christmas, Christmas Eve), and cool duets(Fa La La feat. Boyz II Men and All I Want For Christmas feat. Mariah Carey). There are probably lots of tweens and teens rocking out to this fun album while ordering gifts online or wrapping presents!
Have you got a chance to hear Justin Bieber’s “Under The Mistletoe” album? Is it as good as you hoped it would be and if so, what’s your favorite track? Would you love it if Justin release another holiday album in the next few years?

Justin Bieber praying for a quiet, family Christmas after hectic 2011

HE is a multi-millionaire, has a beautiful famous girlfriend and isn’t even 18 yet.
No wonder, then, that Justin Bieber only wants to be with his family next weekend.
Surely the singer is the teenager who has everything.
The 17-year-old has just released his second album, Under The Mistletoe, with a third (his thirdin three years), Believe, due out next year.
So what does the teen with everything do at Christmas?
He said:

“My wish list is just to be with my family. That’s about it.”

Like many of us Justin is hoping he can relax. He’s had a busy 2011.
At the beginning of the year a 3D part-biopic, part-concert film starring Bieber, called Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, was released.
From March, he went on a worldwide tour, finishing up in October before the release of his Christmas album.
No wonder then Justin, who is reportedly worth more than £50million, is happy to forgo glitzy Christmas parties and return home to Stratford in Ontario, Canada.
Justin’s grandma usually cooks the lunch and will do so this year.
He said: “We play a game. Basically, you roll these dice and everyone brings a present – a boy present and a girl present – and if you get doubles then you get to pick a gift from the box.”
While he doesn’t want anything for himself, Justin seems to be generous to those closest to him.
He said:
“I got my grandparents a car last Christmas and I thought that was really special.”
And what about this year? He won’t say what he’s going to get girlfriend Selena Gomez, 19.
But whatever it is, it will be romantic.
Justin said:
“I consider myself a pretty romantic guy, I mean, my mom did a great job raising me. I’m a pretty sensitive guy as well. It’s mostly up to the guy to be romantic, so I don’t think the girl should be the romantic one.”
Next year looks to be just as busy for Justin as 2011.
He’s looking to launch a film career after a cameo role in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2010.
He said: “I want to make a movie. “We are working on a script right now with Mark Wahlberg.
“He wants to make a movie with me, and he’s going to be in it, so that’s going to be exciting.
“I can’t give away too much information but I’m really excited about that.”
Justin began posting videos of himself on YouTube at the age of 12.
He was snapped up by manager Scooter Braun, who flew him to Atlanta to meet Usher, and the singer signed him to Island DefJam Recordings.
Next year will also be a big year for Justin because he turns 18 on March 1.
But like Christmas, he won’t be going overboard.
Justin said: “It’s not going to be too crazy.
“I’m just going to be hanging out, hopefully, and be able to have a party with my friends and stuff.”
He’s a worldwide teen idol, so what does he see when he looks in the mirror?
He said: “I see just me. I saw my face my whole life, so all I see is Justin and just a normal person.
“God has blessed me with a voice, so I am using it for him and in the best way I can.”

Justin Bieber Special Takes Fans 'Home For The Holidays'

Justin Bieber's holiday special airs December 22 and will raise money for his Believe charity drive.

Justin Bieber has helped light the tree in New York's Rockefeller Plaza andsang Christmas carols with the president. Now, MTV News has confirmed that the pop star will celebrate the season once more with his very own special, "Justin Bieber: Home for the Holidays."

Bieber will tape the fundraising special at a secret Toronto location before it airs December 22 on MuchMusic and CTV. In a statement toThe Hollywood Reporter,Bieber said,

"The holidays are a very special time of the year for me and I'm looking forward to coming home and ringing them in with my friends and family."

Funds raised at the show will benefit Bieber's Believe charity. Portions of the proceeds raised by his holiday album, Under the Mistletoe, also went to the nonprofit. Believe raises money for organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Pencils of Promise, Musicians on Call, Project Medishare for Haiti, City of Hope, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Grammy Foundation.

"I am launching the Believe Charity Drive because I know firsthand that if you believe in your dreams, everything is possible," Bieber said in a statement about the initiative. "The Believe Charity Drive directly benefits charities that are making a difference in the world. You can ... donate as little as one dollar, or even donate your time, because everything will make a difference. Please join me in our quest to raise millions of dollars by the release of my new 2012 album, Believe. I know that with your help, we can make a change."

On Monday (December 12), in addition to announcing the holiday special, Bieber's manager Scooter Braun also tweeted about the overwhelming success Under the Mistletoe has had since its November debut.
"@JustinBieber's christmas album 'Under The Mistletoe' is the biggest selling International Christmas album for UMG in a decade!!" he tweeted. "That makes it the biggest selling holiday album on Universal in the last decade moving ahead of Andrea Bocelli. very proud and at this rate by Christmas @justinbieber's 'Under The Mistletoe' will be the biggest 4th qtr album release of the entire UMG-EMI system!"

Bieber recorded several classic tunes for the album, as well as original songs, including lead single "Mistletoe." He worked with artists like Mariah Carey, Usher, the Band Perry, Busta Rhymes and Boyz II Men on the project. "Thank u to everyone supporting this incredible album," Braun added. "All the stats are amazing but what Im most proud of is the music. REALLY GREAT MUSIC."

Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, others take the stage at ‘Christmas in Washington

It was 1 p.m. on Sunday, and all through the National Building Museum, hundreds of creatures are stirring — just not Justin Bieber, who’s off dreaming about sugarplums.
The Biebs has blown off rehearsal to sleep in, putting some good, old-fashioned holiday panic into the usual clockwork preparations for “Christmas in Washington,” the annual pop concert taped downtown.
Along with the sleepy teen superstar, this year’s bill includes Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson, increasingly ubiquitous country trio the Band Perry, Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice and Cee Lo Green of “[Forget] You” fame, and is hosted for the first time by Conan O’Brien. Among the 999 invited guests in attendance: President Obama, the first lady, the first daughters and the first grandma, Marian Robinson.
Justin Bieber Tweeted:

Great night! President Obama is one cool Prez. He told me he was "chillin." #PresidentialSWAG
Feeling good. Just had some fun at rehearsals and now we r ready. Time to sing for the President. #canadianrepresenter
Showtime is less than six hours away, and Green is just arriving. He plops down in a front-row seat labeled “POTUS,” nursing a mug of something hot. Once he’s called to the stage, he opts to save his voice, mumble-crooning “This Christmas” as if he’s just returned from the dentist. (He’s actually just returned from a last-minute tux-fitting at Rochester Big & Tall.)
Executive producer George Stevens Jr. (amber sunglasses, cable-knit sweater the color of juiced grapefruit) and producer-director Michael Stevens (casual blue jeans, serious tan blazer) look concerned. The father-son team are fresh off producing last Sunday’s Kennedy Center Honors, another TV extravaganza populated with musicians that follow the duo’s “a little something for everyone” credo.

Justin Bieber wants to celebrate X-mas with family

Justin Bieber wants to spend Christmas with his family.
The 17-year-old popstar revealed he doesn't want expensive gifts for the holidays but instead he hopes to get some time off to spend with his loved ones in Canada.
He told Hollywood Teen TV:

"For this Christmas, I just want to be with my family. I don't really have any requests, except for socks and underwear because I just run out of them a lot."
Justin - who was born in London, Ontario and grew up in Stratford, Ontario - has previously revealed he is keen to return to his native country when he is a bit older and ready to start a family.
He said:

"I think it would be cool to get a condo out here in LA, but eventually I'll probably want to move back to Canada and raise my family. Why? I dunno, I'm Canadian, I feel like I want my kids to be Canadian."

Justin Bieber Previews 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' Music Video

Justin Bieber Previews 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' Music Video

One day before the premiere of Justin Bieber's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" music video, a short snippet comes out to give a clue on what to expect from the soon-to-be-released clip. Wearing a festive-themed jacket, the popstar is seen shopping for Christmas gifts with a few friends in a colorfully-decorated mall.

The full music video is set to be unleashed on Wednesday, November 30 during the airing of the annual Rockefeller Tree Lighting on NBC.Mariah Carey, the original singer of the single who also lends her vocals to Bieber's version, will make a cameo. She'll be seen lounging in a Santa Claus sleigh with her dog Jill E. Beans.

The other special guests in the upcoming video include Alfredo Flores and Adam. The former once worked with Bieber to direct his "U Smile" music video, while the latter is the brother of his manager Scooter Braun. Adam additionally is the founder and executive director of Pencils of Promise, the non-profit organization Bieber has worked with since his rise to fame.

Justin Bieber, She & Him join holiday music tradition

She & Him, “A Very She & Him Christmas” And Justin Bieber Misltetoe

Parents are likely to buy Justin Bieber’s Christmas album for their kids and pray that their young ones will only play it through their headphones. But the elders would be missing out. Bieber’s “Under the Mistletoe” is a thoroughly entertaining offering for all ages — sometimes even more so for the adults.
Although he’s still a teen heartthrob, there’s little childlike about this album (except for the song “Someday at Christmas,” which closes out the deluxe CD, where a much younger Bieber channels Michael Jackson).

Bieber’s voice has deepened, and the bubble gum sound has given way to a more mature, soulful sound. Bieber sounds convincingly romantic on the album’s opener, “The Only Thing I Ever Get For Christmas.” And on the soulful upbeat groove “Fa La La,” with guests Boyz II Men, he sounds almost — dare we say it? — sexy.

But before we venture into Mariah Yeater territory, let’s focus on some of the other songs on the album. He joins Mariah Carey on her holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You”; the Band Perry for a powerful “Home This Christmas”; enlists mentor Usher on a charming rendition of “The Christmas Song”; and gets funky with Busta Rhymes on a hip-hop version of “Little Drummer Boy” (here simply called “Drummer Boy”), as both trade rap verses.

Bieber breathes new life into old standbys and offers up new songs that have the potential to become future classics. Even if you don’t have kids, “Under the Mistletoe” should be under your Christmas tree.

Justin Bieber Forgets Lyrics on 'Today' Show

Justin Bieber had a minor mishap when performing on "Today" show on Wednesday morning, November 23. Wearing blue denims and a festive-themed jacket, the "Fa La La" singer flubbed his lyrics when delivering his rendition of holiday classic "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town".

Accompanied by a live band and four male backing dancers, Bieber sang the first part smoothly, but opened the second part with the wrong lyrics. Instead of singing "he sees you when you're sleeping" like it's supposed to be, he repeated "making list" line and later trailed off when singing the correct lyrics.

During the concert that day, Bieber also got a special visit from his mentor Usher. Together, they rocked rocked Rockefeller Center by singing their duet rendition of another yuletide anthem "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)".

After singing on the "Today" show, Bieber visited "The View" to make live performance later in the day. He made a surprise duet with Mary J. Bligeon stage. "YEP!! Surprise #2 today...brought out the legendary @MARYJBLIGE to perform #MISTLETOE with me on @theviewtv," he tweeted.

Justin Bieber Performing At 13th Martina Mcbride Holiday Special

Justin Bieber will be joined by Mary J. Blige, Christina Perri and more for the 13th annual Home For the Holidays With Martina McBride special. The special will air on Dec. 21 at 8PM ET and run for an hour, per McBride’s website.
The moving holiday special will feature tales of adoption from foster care. Also on board are McBride herself (obviously), OneRepublic and Gavin DeGraw. Talk about star-studded and for a good cause! All the aforementioned artists will perform. Additionally, Actresses Katherine Heigl and Denise Richards, both of whom have adopted daughters, will be on hand among the performers.
Following the success of the past 12 annual shows, the special continues to tell touching stories about adoption from foster care in hopes of raising awareness for this important social issue. The inspirational stories of American families are enhanced with performances by some of today’s most popular artists!
Heart-warming, feel-good tales of adoption mixed with tunes from The Biebs and Mary J? We couldn’t think of a better way to spend an hour parked in front of the TV four days before Christmas. It’s a perfect blend of the spirit of the holidays and pop music.
